Abstract

With the salinization of the Aral Sea and the transformation of its remnant into a hyperhaline reservoir, Artemia (Artemia parthenogenetica) appeared in the plankton and has now become dominant. There are practically no data on Artemia morphometry of this new population. The diameter of resting and decapsulated cysts and the thickness of the chorion collected in November 2021 on the southern coast of the Aral Sea remnant (Uzbekistan) were determined.
