Abstract

This article is devoted to the analysis of lexical units borrowed from the Turkic languages into modern Russian. Turkic words have been studied both in historical and functional aspects. It is revealed that the frequency of assimilation is not regular. The article provides information that today Turkisms are rapidly entering the modern Russian language in all possible ways.
