FEATURES OF THE FUNCTIONING OF THE BORROWED VOCABULARY IN THE TEXTS OF THE BRITISH MEDIA

Abstract

The relevance of the presented article lies in the fact that the social contacts, both internal and external, are an important part of the life of any society. As a result of communication and exchange of information, ideas, concepts, objects are borrowed, which invariably entails the creation or borrowing of their lexical designations – the appearance of foreign words. Borrowing is one of the essential characteristics of modern language processes and in this sense is subject, along with other linguistic phenomena, to close study.
