Preservation of biological diversity in the world, protection of flora and their rational use is one of the global problems. Therefore, special attention is paid to the study of bioecological characteristics of plant species, introduction work, development of protection measures, identification of rare and declining species and their preservation. Bunium species, which are used as essential oil, medicinal, nutritional, medicinal, perfumery and food industry plants, are of particular importance. Special attention is paid to the study of the biomorphological characteristics of essential oil-bearing plants during their ontogenesis and to the identification of their raw materials. In this regard, it is important to determine the composition of species of the Bunium family, justify the factors affecting it, and evaluate the possibility of using prospective species in production sectors. Organization of natural reserves of Bunium species and their plantations in Jizzakh region is considered urgent today. The cumin plant is useful not only in the food industry, but also in folk medicine.
