Genres are an essential aspect of communication, serving as a means of organizing and categorizing different types of texts. However, the stylistic features of genres are often overlooked in favor of their structural or functional characteristics. This article explores the stylistic of genres, examining how they function as a virtual network of texts with shared stylistic features. The methodology involved analyzing a corpus of texts from different genres, using a quantitative approach to identify and analyze the stylistic features of the texts. The results reveal that genres function as a virtual network of texts that share common stylistic features, which serve as a means of organizing and categorizing texts based on their stylistic characteristics. Understanding the stylistic of genres is important for writers, as it can help them to choose the appropriate genre and stylistic conventions for their intended audience and purpose, ultimately enhancing the effectiveness of their communication.
