Abstract

The clinical significance of osteoporosis in rheumatic diseases, especially in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, is that it causes irreversible changes in the osteoarticular system, exudative-proliferative inflammation, ankylosis and pathological fractures adversely affecting the quality of life of patients and the outcome of the disease.
