This article examines the role of environmental policies in driving economic transformation towards a green economy, focusing on the integration of sustainability into economic systems. It explores the key principles of a green economy, the benefits of environmental regulations, and the economic sectors most affected by green policies. Using case studies from both developed and emerging markets, the analysis highlights how effective environmental policies can reduce carbon footprints, promote resource efficiency, and create new opportunities for growth, while addressing socio-economic inequalities. The findings suggest that proactive environmental governance, alongside innovative green technologies, is crucial for achieving sustainable development goals and mitigating the impacts of climate change.
