The article examines the role of video cases in developing students’ communicative competence in teaching monologic speech at an economic university. Special attention is paid to Uzbek-speaking groups, where the formation of coherent, logical and professionally oriented speech is an important component of language education. A video case is considered an effective interactive teaching tool that combines language practice, professional orientation and the development of critical thinking. The article discusses the stages of working with video cases, their methodological advantages and practical tasks aimed at developing students’ monologic speech. It is concluded that the use of video cases increases students’ speech activity, motivation, independence and professional communicative competence.
