The article examines Ludwig Erhard's monetary reform of 1948 in West Germany. The key mechanism: exchanging Reichsmarks for Deutsche Marks at a 10:1 ratio, keeping wages and pensions at a 1:1 ratio, and liberalizing prices. The goal is to determine the applicability of the reform in modern Uzbekistan. Conclusion: Uzbekistan does not need a confiscatory reform, but some of Erhard's principles (currency liberalization, tax cuts, phased abandonment of subsidies) are already being implemented.
