Determining the errors of benchmarking instruments and determining their applicability. Calibration is a set of operations that determine the ratio between the values of quantities obtained using calibrated measuring instruments under certain conditions and the corresponding values that can be reproduced with standard measuring instruments and standards. Metrological certification of test instruments is confirmation of the reproducibility of the test conditions within the limits of deviation and determination of the suitability of the test instrument.
