Abstract

This article examines, from a linguocultural perspective, the realia – namely clothing – that testify to the ancient national-cultural characteristics of the Uzbek and Karakalpak peoples and demonstrate their ethnic identity. It describes how unparalleled charm and elegance, customs, social relations, and religious beliefs are concealed within these cultural artifacts. It is shown that realia reflect the joyful or sorrowful moments of human life. It has been proven that the study of realia based on intercultural cooperation plays an important role in determining the differences between the languages and cultures of both peoples.
